This book is the second instalment in the "Chi's Sweet Home" series. I picked up the first volume when I was in Minsk for an exchange in 2019 and absolutely fell in love with Konami's art style and reading this saccharine sweet tale in Russian. More of the same super saccharine Chi and the family adventures. Not sure why I'm reading this but it's quick enough that we can call it a guilty pleasure. It's pretty exhausting following along with Chi's adventures. ― About a third of the way through this volume, I became reasonably certain that I reviewed the anime version of this title and that it didn't leave much of an impression on me.

I have a feeling volume 3 might include an official meet. Chi's owners move to a new apartment that allows pets. This second volume revolves around Chi meeting neighboring pets, animals in the park and so on.

The Complete Chi will be presented in a 480-page omnibus in full-color with a significantly new larger trim size. This new release will feature new craft extras and a new story from the author. Motivating Kids to Read

I was reading it while my boy cat was laying right next to me sleeping. This set of comics is of Chi getting to know her new neighborhood as well as her new apartment. We as people go through this phase as well, but to see it through a kitten's eyes can show us how truly terrifying it can be.

It's fun to see things from the cat perspective. I will continue to enjoy each volume as it comes out. Chi is an adventurous and easily distracted kitten who after becoming lost, found herself part of the Yamada household. But just as Chi was getting used to her new life, everything changes.

There were old and new friends and all sorts of adventures. She’s always up to something and her antics are so much fun to read about. Overall The Complete Chi’s Sweet Home Part 2 was just as adorable as the first bind-up and I'm enjoying following Chi's adventures. This manga series would be a great introduction to younger readers newer to the format and for any cat lovers.

Konami is well regarded within the pet-manga community for her keen sense of cat ecology. Her ability to observe and render feline behavior has earned her respect from the Japanese manga community as a whole. Chi's Sweet Home will be Konami's first translated work. This edition continues the story of Chi and the Yamada family. While Chi is trying to learn to be a cat, the Yamadas continue to hide Chi from the super as they are not allowed to have pets.

And Blackie, Chi's first cat friend, returns as well! I like the little angry cat Chi "befriends" at the park, a tough little kitten who doesn't like Chi...or does he? This was a lot of fun, and just right for light reading a bit at a time.

But back to chiamaka, the elements of her mom braiding her hair, and the nigerian food, and not being ashamed about being nigerian but not wanting to show it to the world either because most people just don’t understand.

She’s compassionate, quick witted and an empathetic person. I tried to empathize with the characters as much as I could and it distressed me that black people every where still have to go through stuff like this every day…it’s become a norm for them. I’ve seen this kind of a set-up before, where an anonymous cyber bully gleefully reveals characters’ deepest and darkest secrets to a captive student body, usually via text message. The first half largely sticks to this formula, and I found myself a little underwhelmed initially if I am being honest.

I don’t often read thrillers but if they were all as brilliantly written as Ace of Spades I don’t think I could ever put them down. Peeling back the layers of insidiousness present in this book invoked physical reactions in me, especially once we reached the truly rotten core. I can quite honestly say that Ace of Spades blew my mind. I went into this book with high expectations after seeing so many people rave about it and somehow it still managed to exceed them.
